Stan Weinstein's Stage Analysis and Market Breadth - Technical Analysis - Page 342

RE: Stan Weinstein Stage Analysis and Market Breadth

There is another way to look at it using Bullish Percent Indexes, which can be found at the bottom of the page here: https://stockcharts.com/freecharts/marke...l?v=E#&t=T

If you click on the Close column header it will sort the order by strongest, which in Bullish Percent charts means the one with the highest percentage of stocks on P&F Buy Signals.

Or one other method would be to use the Sector Advance Decline cumulative line, or the crossovers of the Advance Decline exponential 10 and 30 day MAs (which is one of my favourites, as produces very good signals imo, although it can have whipsaws around the signals at times) - which is the second row of the attached AD charts.

RE: Stan Weinstein Stage Analysis and Market Breadth

Breadth

US:
The S&P500 has made a new high and the NASDAQ 100 and Wilshire 5000 are very near.  The mind and small caps, not shown, are not so posative though.

UK:
For all the measurements I take for a breadth score it looks lioke the UK is healthy.  However, the price charts looks less so.

Gold miners and oil producers:
Crude is in stage 4, but has made a higher low.  Advancing / declining volume looks good but nothing else is.
A breakout on GLD with a volume spike.  Most notably in the breadth is that new highs minus new lows in the miners are now positive.
