US Industry Groups by Highest RS Score

It was a week of huge moves following the election results and Fed, which saw numerous changes in the Industry Groups Relative Strength (RS) Rankings with the Technology stocks market breadth improving significantly, and Solar stocks getting hit hard and declining for example. As traders attempt to determine the various winners and losers of the new reality.

One mega cap stock of note that is a potential winner under the new Trump presidency is TSLA, and it traded up significantly following the election result, making a Stage 2 continuation breakout. Which has caused the group to move up the RS rankings due to its weighting in the group.

TSLA has been in Stage 2 for 19 weeks, and is +56% above the Stage 2A breakout level currently. So it's a long way above the methods entry points, so you would have to wait for the next trader method entry point on a consolidation or pullback entry in Stage 2.

For those interested in seeing how you could have got into TSLA at the methods investor entry point (Stage 2A breakout). Watch the first 5 mins of the Weekend Video from 30 June 2024 – which discusses why TSLA was in the watchlist at that point, as it developed in Stage 1 and was approaching the Stage 2 breakout level.

US Industry Groups by Weakest RS Score

US Industry Groups sorted by Relative Strength

The purpose of the Relative Strength (RS) tables is to track the short, medium and long-term RS changes of the individual groups to find the new leadership earlier than the crowd.

RS Score of 100 is the strongest, and 0 is the weakest.

In the Stage Analysis method we are looking to focus on the strongest groups, as what is strong, tends to stay strong for a long time. But we also want to find the improving / up and coming groups that are starting to rise up strongly through the RS table from the lower zone, in order to find the future leading stocks before they break out from a Stage 1 base and move into a Stage 2 advancing phase.

Each week I go through the most interesting groups on the move in more detail during the Stage Analysis Members weekend videoas Industry Group analysis is a key part of Stan Weinstein's Stage Analysis method.
