RE: Watchlist - Traders method

This month has seen a number of recent IPOs come up in the Elite Board Watchlist. Here's a few that showed continued strength.

TRUE - Highlighted on the 12th Aug at $15.85 as it was attempting to make it’s first breakout from it’s primary base. It didn't managed to close that week above the high, but followed through this week on strong relative volume to close the week at $20.90, which is almost 32% higher. So this one looks like it's got some potential following it's Q2 earnings report last week and so I will be looking for constructive pullbacks/consolidations.

LEJU - Also highlighted on the 12th Aug. LEJU made a further continuation this week on strong relative volume to new highs. And so is another that one looks like it's got some potential and so I will be looking for constructive pullbacks/consolidations on this as well.

A few others have come up as well that could be worth further research - ATHM, ANET

RE: Watchlist - Investor method

APP continues to develop in it's early Stage 1 base above it's declining 30 week MA, but although it had a very strong week, it's currently meeting the previous resistance. The current Stage 1 range is defined by the swing high that was put in in July at 1.30 and so that is the level to watch for a strong close above with a volume increase at a minimum of 2x the weekly average.

The monthly chart shows a longer term Stage 1 base developing, and currently it's approaching the flattening 30 Month MA. To clear the monthly range it would need to move above $2.40 to new multi year highs.

RE: Watchlist - Investor method

COSI is another distressed stock that has caught my eye lately due to the volume surges and it has recently moved into the early phase of Stage 1 that we call Stage 1A, and hence it's still got a lot of work to do until it meets the investor method requirements. One of the immediate issues that it has to work through is the significant near term resistance that it has from many years of declining. Also, it may already be significantly above it's 30 week MA, but the 30 week MA has had a very steep declining angle throughout the last year and so will likely take time to level out as COSI develops in it's Stage 1 basing phase. Ideally, it would be good for COSI to put in a swing high to mark the top of the Stage 1 base, and then pullback/consolidate on light volume for months before making a Stage 2A breakout attempt on a dramatic volume increase.

If you scale out to the monthly chart, you can see that it's been declining for the last three years following it's initial recovery bounce from the 2008 destruction, and so has a fair bit of resistance to work through in the longer term, but the initial area to watch is the 30 month MA, which is currently at 2.36, as a monthly close above that is what we look for to accompany a weekly Stage 2A breakout for additional confirmation. So if view the weekly chart with the ichimoku cloud overlaid, you can see that that would put price above the near term weekly resistance zone.

One to keep an eye on in the coming months / towards the end of the year for a possible Stage 2A breakout attempt.

RE: US Stocks - Watchlist and Discussion (Premium)

SCLN - attempted to breakout into Stage 2A in mid 2013, but the volume was weak on the breakout and the initial pullback didn't find support at the breakout level and continued down back into the Stage 1 base once more. In June this year it made a fresh Stage 2A breakout attempt, again on weak volume, and immediately pulled backed the following week, once again failing. However, two weeks ago it made a fresh attempt, this time with strong relative volume, and has continued higher in the following weeks to put in new 52 week highs, and so looks more promising this time.

MSN - Dramatic recovery into Stage 1 on heavy volume. Watch for an early Stage 2 breakout attempt to new highs. The monthly chart is also attempting to make a monthly Stage 2 continuation to new multi year highs, with monthly volume very strong at 4.4x the monthly average currently.
