RE: Watchlist - Traders method

Hi

I'm new to investing,

I have a questions, hoping someone could help me find an answer.
I bought ( for my son account ) 15 shares of SPR on 11/7/13 for $29.57 a share. total spend came up to be around $453.
the total investment account was around $10,000 including the stock above.
on 12/20, the investment account went from $10,000 to About $60,000 just over night.
all i could find is something about stock splits, but still that does not make any sense to me
I'm trying to understand what just happen to that specific stock....
by the way, it s a paper trading account Sad

Hi tradingolives, I'm not sure why that has happened as the stock you mentioned is only currently trading at $28.86 and isn't showing any splits or any other adjustments. So I can only assume that it's a glitch in your software, as it's trading below your entry point. See attached.

Nope I haven't used that service. I use a number of different charts services, but mainly stockcharts and prorealtime, but I also use chartmill, finviz and ADVFN.

RE: Watchlist - Investor method

Noticed Barclays over the last few days, potentially about to enter stage 4
Its relative strength (to the FTSE) unfortnately is still +ve but volume is still consistent and rising on downside movement
Its sector is also in exactly the same place awaiting a break of support

RE: US Stocks - Intraday Watchlist and Discussion

A couple of stocks that have caught my eye today are ARCW which was previously highlighted on it's first pullback back in December, and has consolidated on lighter volume for the last few months, and looks to be attempting to move higher once more today on more than 3x it's average daily volume. ASM is the other stock, which is a small Silver and Gold miner on the AMEX that made a Stage 2A breakout three weeks ago on strong relative volume which has continued to get stronger as it's advanced higher and is more than 6x the average volume this week as it breakouts further above resistance. Attached is the weekly charts.

Still reading the book, so apologies but I thought I'd update the chart to cover the previous resistance which is so glaringly obvious. so not such a good one after all
Also, I should probably have posted this in the UK stocks area so bear with me Rolleyes

anyway, have included the immediate support and the next level not so far away.
Historically not a particularly good stock, from 3 to 4 to 1, 2 and now 3 and potentially 4 again all in the space of 2 years and price is exactly where it started
