RE: Watchlist - Investor method - theory6453 - 2013-12-26 Merry Christmas, All, as it is still Xmas here in the States for another couple hours. I hope everyone had a good holiday or enjoyed some Chinese food or had fun with whatever they do when the markets are closed on Dec. 25. Here are a couple of investors setups I have been watching recently... The first two are Stage 1 setups for the watchlist. Both are energy plays which is supposed to be a top performing sector for 2014: BTU and WTL. BTU was at $70 two years ago and is now trading around $18. I would like to see the 30 wma start turning up and a move into the $20 range with good volume as a potential Stage 2A move. Similar with WLT… trading at $130 two years ago and is down 90% to trade currently at $15. Looks like it may finally have found a bottom in the $10 range. Again, 30 wma turning upwards with good volume and move into the $20 range would be good signal for a move into Stage 2A. The last setup is MY which has been highlighted previously as a Stage 2A in the Solar sub-group which has performed quite well recently. I was recently in MY back in October and I think it is almost done with its current pullback and is ready to make another large move. It’s currently @ $2.04 and I believe it’s about oversold. There could be some more slight downward movement to the $1.80 - $1.90 range but I think there is a nice trendline that is providing support. The previous Stage 1 resistance line now also appears to be providing a nice little support wedge. If I can get the right price in the next couple days or early next week, I will likely make an entry with a stop around 3 times the 200 day ATR, which would be in the $1.50 - $1.60 range. Cheers. (Apologies if these have already been highlighted recently and I missed it) RE: Watchlist - Investor method - theory6453 - 2013-12-26 (2013-12-26, 01:10 AM)isatrader Wrote: DRYS made a Stage 2 continuation breakout from a two and half year head and shoulders base, which could be a longer term monthly Stage 2A breakout if it holds to the end of the month. Swing target from the long term base is 6.22 Great post and great chart. I bought this off the open today based on this chart and continuation move and it was up over 12% today. Love it. Thanks Isa! Keep up the good work! RE: Watchlist - Investor method - isatrader - 2013-12-27 PMFG - Peerless Manufacturing made another attempt at a Stage 2A breakout last week on more than two times the average volume. Relative performance versus the S&P 500 is above it’s zero line, but it's still below the 9.42 high from the start of the year, but is within reach with it's move higher this week. And hence there's potential for a further breakout to new 52 week highs if it can clear that technical resistance. Attached are the charts. RE: Watchlist - Investor method - isatrader - 2013-12-27 A few more single digit midgets for the watchlist - VTUS, ATHX RE: Watchlist - Traders method - isatrader - 2013-12-27 Single digit midgets for the watchlist - USEG, CXDC RE: Watchlist - Traders method - isatrader - 2013-12-27 UK stocks for the watchlist - SSP.L, MIN.L, MFX.L, TYM.L RE: Watchlist - Traders method - isatrader - 2013-12-27 WYY - WidePoint a micro cap making a Stage 2 continuation move to new six year highs. Strong relative performance versus the S&P 500 and a massive volume increase in December at more than double any other year in the last ten years. RE: Watchlist - Traders method - isatrader - 2013-12-29 Stage 2 continuation breakouts with strong relative volume for the watchlist in FRP, GPRE, KNDI, and also MITL, which has had a strong Stage 2 run since the summer Stage 2A breakout and has had a significant increase in volume over the last few months and so is one to watch for a possible entry point. |
