Friday 14 January 2022 - isatrader - 2022-01-14
Energy leading so far today again with the bulk of the sectors negative.
$JPM reacting negatively to earnings, puling back to the 200 day MA, which is weighing on the financials today.
$ENQR from the watchlist and in the energy sector making the Stage 2 continuation breakout attempt
$SM from the watchlist and also in the energy sector moving above the near term pivot and towards the highs.
$LVS with a significant bar gap up within the range on Goldman Sachs commentary
Stage 2 breakout attempts - isatrader - 2022-01-16
A few of the weeks Stage 2 breakout attempts on more than 2x average weekly volume - $BBL, $KBH, $TSM
One of the standouts of the week was $ZIM from the watchlist, which made a Stage 2 continuation breakout to new highs on strong relative volume.

Good morning.
Pre-market looking heavy so far except in a few areas like energy and silver.
Will be watching for areas of relative strength and red to green moves today.
Energy turning negative too.
$XLF now a "failed" Stage 2 continuation breakout with todays Reversal Significant Bar back into the recent range.
$GS with an earnings gap Stage 4 breakdown today which will be a Significant Bar.
Short squeeze in $DATS today as it puts in a potential selling climax in Stage 4. So could be the start of a potential base.

With a down day across 10 of the 11 sectors today, it's a fairly thin day for the watchlist.

Wednesday 19 January 2021 - isatrader - 2022-01-19
S&P 500 with spring type action from the open today after yesterdays undercut of the recent swing low.
Will be observing the strength of the bounce attempt and whether it can recover the short term MAs. If not, then they could become further areas to re-short.
Gold $GLD breaking above the near term pivot within its broader weekly Stage 1 base
Silver $SLV also breaking above it's near term pivot as it attempts to base

$GDX Gold Miners ETF attempting to breakout in from potential early Phase C (LPS) structure, and the Junior gold miners too $GDXJ
Silver stocks also catching a bid with the move in gold i.e. $HL, $EXK $GATO, $SILV etc. So could be worth further research.
20 year Nasdaq Composite chart with percentage of stocks above their 200 day MA, 150 day MA and 50 day MA underneath for comparison to past periods
Highlighted areas are when 200 day MA was below 30% level. Red line is current level in each.
Noticing numerous significant bars in the gold and silver miners charts today. So I ran the Significant Bar scan to to see what was coming up in that and unsurprisingly 10 out the 13 results currently are gold or silver miners.
