In terms of Stage Analysis they all have the same issue, in that they are all still below their long term resistance, as illustrated in the following charts, in which I've overlaid the weekly ichimoku cloud to help illustrate where the resistance is for you.

Significant near term resistance is one of the key no nos for Stage Analysis, as it decreases the probabilities of success. It doesn’t mean it won't still do very well, but we need to consider the opportunity costs of each trade as everyone only has limited resources to trade with, so we must maximise our resources by only looking for stocks with A+ potential, as if we buy a stock that advances 10% in the same time period that another stock we were considering advances 100%, then we lost profit making potential. And hence you need focus on finding the stocks with A+ potential and leaving the B and C candidates alone for others.

Read pages 96 to 103 in the book, as they are some of the most important imo, and will teach you about these very important concepts in the method.

A lot of people when they first start using the method only focus on the Price Action and Volume, and focus less on the relative performance, and often ignore the Resistance altogether. But to find the A+ candidates, you need all four of these, as they are the core of the method. But are still only the foundations, as you also need to consider much more such as the stocks sector, relative performance versus other stocks in it's group, the weight of evidence from the market breadth and multiple time frames etc.

I hope that helps

Thank you, I will reread those pages in the book. I am so glad this forum exists.

I've marked up their Stages for you imo. QIHU is in a merger deal to go private I believe for US$77.00, so will probably be out of the market soon, and hence why it's not moving much from that price level.

Hi I am very new to stage analysis. Would like to hear your thoughts and opinions on some of the mining stocks in my holdings

NMKTF
OCANF
GOLD
KGILF

Like to know if I should continue building on the positions I already have in the above companies. Any insight or advice will be very much appreciated. Thanks

I don't like to comment on peoples holdings, as I feel you shouldn't let anyone influence your trading, as it's your money at the end of the day. However, from a purely Stage Analysis perspective Gold is making it's first pullback following it's move into Stage 2A earlier this year. So your holdings are reflecting that move.
