Thanks for the update ISa, what is the difference between the two NYSE AD charts? Are you holding back from investing based on the top forming on the AD chart? Maybe putting tighter stops? RE: Stan Weinstein's Stage Analysis - isatrader - 2016-10-30 (2016-10-30, 01:34 PM)Smellypunks Wrote: Thanks for the update ISa, what is the difference between the two NYSE AD charts? Are you holding back from investing based on the top forming on the AD chart? Maybe putting tighter stops? You can detailed explainations on the stockcharts.com site for all the chart types. But this is what it says about the different types of AD lines: Net Advances equals advances less declines. Net Advancing Volume equals the volume of advancing issues less the volume of declining issues. These “net†versions can be used to create other indicators, such as the AD Line and AD Volume Line. So, one is just the actual net number, whereas the other is based on the volume. As far the method goes, the weight of evidence from all of the various breadth measures is currently neutral/negative, with longer term measures pulling back to more neutral levels and short term measures getting near extremes. So imo it's a time to be cautious, but also to be prepared, as the with the short term breadth near it's lower extremes the probabilities of a swing low are increasing imo. However, technicals can get overidden by events, and so with the US election a week away, more volatility seems likely. RE: Stan Weinstein's Stage Analysis - pcabc - 2016-11-01 A bit on the early side to confirm, but is gold strengthening? Interesting that there is strong support on the 200 day MA for price, the cumulative advance/decline line and cumulative advancing / declining volume. All are below their 50 day MAs. The breadth is from my calculations based on a small number of miners. UK FTSE 350 Sector Charts - isatrader - 2016-11-05 It's been a while since I've shown the UK FTSE 350 sectors charts, so here they are: RE: Stan Weinstein's Stage Analysis - Smellypunks - 2016-11-05 (2016-11-05, 06:10 PM)isatrader Wrote: It's been a while since I've shown the UK FTSE 350 sectors charts, so here they are: Thanks for putting these up ISA. I have to say only about four or five of them look bearish the rest are bullish or neutral. I have been feeling a little bearish recently but this helps to give some prescriptive. |
