S&P 1500 Cumulative P&F Breakouts - Breakdowns charts - isatrader - 2016-02-23 Attached is the up to date S&P 1500 Cumulative P&F Breakouts - Breakdowns charts Note: I've included the daily chart of breakouts minus breakdowns, as you can see there was spike in P&F breakouts over the last week, which is the strongest five day period for P&F breakouts in the last year, which has pushed the short term MA measures back above their zero lines. Gold $GLD - isatrader - 2016-02-23 Gold is in Stage 2 in Canadian Dollars, and well above the 2013 breakdown level. One of the strongest markets for gold currently. RE: Stan Weinstein's Stage Analysis - pcabc - 2016-02-23 Are miners in the early stages of turning a corner? My own breadth calcs from an arbitrary pool of stocks. Also note I found bugs recently so no guarantees on accuracy. However, might be something to keep an eye on. RE: Stan Weinstein's Stage Analysis - wpeters - 2016-02-24 (2016-02-23, 03:36 PM)isatrader Wrote: Gold is in Stage 2 in Canadian Dollars, and well above the 2013 breakdown level. One of the strongest markets for gold currently. Here are two securities. One is an ETF that currently holds 35 (mainly Canadian gold stocks) and the other holds gold/silver bullion. Having missed the initial breakout I guess the next opportunity would be a pull back to the 30 week MA on reduced volume. XGD.TO -iShares S&P/TSX Global Gold Index ETF (An ETF of 35 gold stocks) CEF-A.TO - Central Fund of Canada Limited (Bullion) Monthly Charts - US Stock Indexes - NYSE, Nasdaq, S&P 500, Mid Caps and Small Caps - isatrader - 2016-02-27 Attached is the updated monthly US equity index charts for a longer term perspective. Note: We've now had two months where the price has pushed down and failed to close near the low. In fact this month looks set to close near the high, and the moving average breadth measures have made a higher low than the August bottom. Hence a positive divergence in the breadth versus the price action. So we could have seen a significant low in the last months, as more breadth measures moved to bullish status this week. So based on the breadth imo it's suggestive that we could be in Stage 4B- currently, which is when the market is not yet “officially†in Stage 1A, but could possibly have now seen its low for the cycle. However, this is a very tentative Stage and so it is just recommended for short term traders to make some cautious test buys on the long side in potential new leaders, as we are still a long way from favourable conditions for the investor method, and could easily still rollover and resume the Stage 4 downtrend. As always, this is just my opinion of the breadth and price action and where we are at currently, but you should make up your own opinion of the current Stage based on your own analysis of the charts and data, as you shouldn't let anyone influence your trades.
