S&P 500, FAANG and Nasdaq

S&P 500 back above the 21 day EMA, but moving towards resistance zone at the top of the range and 50 day MA. Phase B of the developing base (see resources thread on the forum for examples of the Wyckoff Phases)

Are the FAANG stocks setting up for a potential Stage 2 continuation breakout.

They've built a big cause during the Stage 3 range which projects 30-40% higher "if" it makes a new Stage 2 breakout.

Nasdaq Composite still in Stage 2B (which is late in the Stage 2) but has held support from the prior range so far and is still above the 30 week MA.

S&P 500 is also in Stage 2B and so far holding above it's 30 week MA

RE: Stan Weinstein's Stage Analysis and Market Breadth - Technical Analysis

Just deleted a couple of posts on breadth. Upticks in data that were apparent yesterday have disappeared with updated data today. Unsure why because this should not have happened.

US New Highs - New Lows

US New Highs - New Lows still on correction. But it is only in the typical range so far for a correction. So would be more concerning if it starts dropping below -2000 or so. But normal reaction so far.

Percentage of Stocks Above their 50 Day, 150 Day & 200 Day Moving Averages Combined

US Total % Stocks Above their 50 Day, 150 Day & 200 Day Moving Averages Combined

43.94% (-0.34% 1wk)

A slight decline on the week for the US Total Percentage of Stocks Above Their Key MAs, which keeps it below the still declining 50 day MA and in a column of Os on the point and figure chart. So Status remains as Difficult Environment. For this to improve to Positive we would need to see a move above the 50 day MA and a reversal to a column of Xs, which currently would need a move above 48%.

20 and 50 day Oscillator

These show the distance that the combined chart is from the 20 day MA and 50 day MA on the chart. Above the zero is positive environment and below is a difficult / negative environment

Nasdaq Total % Stocks Above their 50 Day, 150 Day & 200 Day Moving Averages Combined
