RE: Stan Weinstein's Stage Analysis

Market breadth

I note that the 150 day SMAs on the main indicies are wobbing around rising and falling.

US:

UK:

Note the rise in the FTSE100 is not matched by the FTSE250 and AIM. Also probably overdue updating the list of FTSE350 constituents I use to calculate the breadth. Don't think being a little out of date makes much difference.

Precious metals:

(Mainly) US energy and utilities sectors:

Crude and old and gas producers:

Crude still has a falling MA so I'm not ready to get into oil and gas.

US REIT is interesting. Note that the index and components are priced in USD so this is nothing to do with distortions due to the pound falling:

Unfortunately I'd not been watching this develop, attention was drawn to this area due to a news article stating that investors were turning away from London to the US. Can't watch everything at ones. Now watching for a pullback or more breakouts.

Gold bugs, longer term.

Major US Stock Indexes Update - NYSE, Nasdaq, S&P 500, Mid Caps and Small Caps

Here's the quick overview charts of the US Bullish Percent and Moving Average Breadth.

Note: The S&P 500 made a Stage 2 breakout this week, and the NYSE and Nasdaq Composite charts are both just under their breakout levels, and the weight of evidence from the market breadth continues to strengthen with the weighting firmly on the bullish side of the scale currently, but not extended, after the recent flush caused by Brexit fears. So the potential for Stage 2 advance in the US is there imo, as the weight of evidence and price action are in place. But we will see how it develops over the next week or so.
