The Silver Cross Index [14] had dropped down in the last couple of weeks after showing strength [14].  However, it has just moved up a little, and is above, just, its MA. ...
The little move up seems to have been a glitch in the data, as in the current chart this does not show. Little point in posting the latest chart, as apart from that little has changed.

Quote:...My very short [A, red] , short [A blue] and medium term [B, green] aggregate breadth scores are all on the rise.

I'm optimistic at present that this may be a bottom, but note that I could easily be wrong.

Still true for short and very short term aggregate scores. For the medium term score less clear. Prices are testing recent lows again. So I'm less optimistic than I was Friday. As crypto seems now to correlate with equities I suspect that if a new low is reached with the S&P500 crypto might also break down. However, it is too soon to see what happens there.

Thanks a lot! Wonderful work Smile

Maybe is too much ask, but do you think could be possible to add alerts when all the indicators are green? Would be super easy to follow all the market Smile

That's a good suggestion. Thanks for the feedback, and I'm glad you're finding it useful.

There's a few things I need to do first though. As I need to add the combined score for each line first. But I'll add it to the potential improvements for it.

Mansfield Relative Strength (Original Version) – Tradingview Indicator

Mansfield Relative Strength (Original Version)

I've added the original oscillator version of the Mansfield RS indicator to Tradingview for use with Stan Weinstein's Stage Analysis method.

Enjoy!

I've given it a few options, but initially it loads as the coloured background version, but you can edit those or turn them off in the settings to just use the plain version, and the Zero Line color and the index/stock symbol it references are editable too.

An alternative use case is to apply the Mansfield RS to the price section and then turn off the Mansfield RS & the zero line tick boxes, & just have the background colors. Which can be whatever you like. So you could even turn off the positive to just show the negative RS periods.

1% Black works pretty well if you want something really subtle, and for example were using multi-charts (see attached). As you could drop the Mansfield RS from below the chart, to have just full price action in view, with very light tint on the negative periods only.

RE: Stan Weinstein's Stage Analysis and Market Breadth - Technical Analysis

Breadth overview

This is based on my own scoring system with separate time periods for each.  I use these to give me a quick overview on where I suspect breadth may be heading.  They can change rapidly in a short time frame and I use them as an indication of interesting places to look or whether to stay away and not more than that.  The arrows indicate the direction of the movement.  The Very Short and sometimes Short term scores are looking a lot stronger.  However, the overall indices are still rather weak.

RE: Stan Weinstein's Stage Analysis and Market Breadth - Technical Analysis

S&P500 versus Russell 3000

I think we are in a period of uncertainty here.  You could make a bull case that we've had a higher low so we've hit a bottom, a trendline of support can be drawn. But we are still below the longer standing trend line of resistance [1].  They converge in about five weeks, so we should know if it is going to breakout to upside or downside.  But of course it could continue to wobble around sideways.  The 150 day SMA is still sloping down and the index is below it, that indications caution is needed.

Various indicators, including the McClellan Oscillators [7 & 9] and % stocks above their 20, 50 and 200 day EMAs [11 - 13] are on the rise.  However, the McClellan Summation Indices [8 & 10] and Silver and Gold Cross Indices [14 & 15] are headed down.

I think we need to wait and see where this is headed.

RE: Stan Weinstein's Stage Analysis and Market Breadth - Technical Analysis

More breadth

I've plotted the relative strength of a couple of things.  I think a longer timescale here is more approrpiate as I first plotted them for a years length and think that it was not giving a true picture of behaviour just off the left hand edge of the chart which I think distorted the picture.

Consumer Discretionary v Consumer Staples:

Broker/Dealers v the S&P500:

Analysis:

It is clear that broker dealers versus the S&P500 have strengthened as has Consumer Discretionaries versus Staples.  I'm unsure what stead to put in levels on these charts, whether assuming support and resistance areas is appropriate.  I think it is fair to add these to the weight of evidence, but I'd be wary of looking at these on their own.  It would be nice if they indicate continues. But I've only just started looking at these - and it does not have to behave how I'd or anyone would like.
